Cologne: S-Bahn runs in rainbow colors - Deutsche Bahn with a statement on the CSD

The rainbow S-Bahn is now rolling through Cologne and the Rhineland.

In line with the CSD, things are getting a bit more colorful in Cologne - thanks to an S-Bahn in rainbow colors.

The idea came from a group of young train drivers.

Cologne – Under the motto “Just as colorful as you”, an S-Bahn in rainbow colors is now running through Cologne and the Rhineland.

A group of young trainees at Deutsche Bahn came up with the idea.

"The goal is to set a clear signal for an open society without discrimination," says Deutsche Bahn.

The bosses in the regional department of the railway company are also happy about the idea, reports 24RHEIN.

Cultural diversity is an essential part of the identity of Deutsche Bahn and open cooperation between different cultures and ways of life is a matter of course for the company.

Deutsche Bahn: Rainbow S-Bahn will roll through the Rhineland indefinitely

In keeping with the CSD (Christopher Street Day) in Cologne on July 3rd, the rainbow S-Bahn will be used immediately on lines S12 and S19 between Au (Sieg) and Düren.

The colorful train will initially roll through the Rhineland for an indefinite period of time.

Lufthansa also flies through Europe in rainbow colors for six months on the occasion of “Pride Month”.
