Gustavo Petro, Colombia's next president, elected in June, shared a video on Twitter showing the accident from a drone perspective.
He wrote that he was asking the country's local government not to approve any more events where people or animals died.
A terrified bull can also be seen next to the rubble - and people trying to keep him at bay with wooden slats.
Senator Martha Peralta Epiéyu also shared a video of the accident.
She wrote that the incident is another reason to ban bullfighting and cockfighting.
