The Cooperative Agricultural Bank in As-Suwayda Governorate began disbursing the first batch of wheat crop values delivered by farmers to the branch of the Public Corporation for Seed Multiplication in the governorate.
The Director of the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in Sweida, Engineer Naseem Hudaifa, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the value of the payment is 300 million Syrian pounds, and it is being disbursed based on the tables received from the branch of the Foundation for Seed Multiplication in the names of the farmers who benefit from it, after deducting the debt owed by them to the bank, if any.
Hudaifa explained that the bank also continues to disburse the values of the wheat crop delivered by farmers to the grain receiving center, indicating that the value of the disbursed amounts amounted to about 500 million pounds in installments, in an easy manner without delay.
The Cooperative Agricultural Bank and its branches in As-Suwayda had opened more than one window to speed up the exchange of wheat values, with an electronic program linking between the Grain Office and the Cooperative Bank to read the lists received electronically via barcode.
