If the regional council gives up funding the purchase of drones for the municipalities, it can however fly them.
On its leisure islands, airborne cameras are out this summer, as has been the case since 2019, to "fight against the risk of drowning and detect illicit barbecues or shisha, sources of possible fire starts".
Aircraft duly declared and registered with the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) are piloted by certified employees.
All these flights are carried out, specifies the region, within the framework of a declaration made to the prefectures concerned, valid for three months.
