Just call it DS7.

The large SUV, which in 2107 marked the beginning of the DS label's offensive as a brand in its own right, is undergoing a facelift.

On the aesthetic side, the team of Thierry Metroz endeavored to integrate the latest fashionable codes at DS but also to reinforce its statutory aspect.

We will not be surprised to find him a little air of DS4.

More expressive, the DS7 has a new front face.

The chrome strips surrounding the enlarged grille have disappeared.

The refined projectors now incorporate Pixel modules with 84 LEDs in three rows.

They combine with the DS Light Veil daytime running lights replacing the light strip of the previous model.

Placed at each end of the shield, a piece of laser-engraved polycarbonate painted in the color of the bodywork is crossed out with four vertical lines of light.

At the rear, the light signature has also been revised.

It is based on refined headlights, with a more contrasting tortoiseshell pattern and offering a darker finish.

The tailgate has also been redesigned.

Inside, fans of the DS7 Crossback will find their bearings.

The search for greater refinement led the styling teams to adopt a new draped-effect upholstery for the dashboard and door panels for vehicles with Nappa leather decor.

New atmospheres are appearing with the pearl stitch available in white and zephyr and the upholstery with a watch strap motif available for the first time in pearl grey.

So classy.

The disappearance of the Crossback particle is accompanied by a simplification of the range.

The gasoline engines disappear and the DS7 retains, for large rollers, a single diesel engine, the Blue HDI 130 hp.

On the other hand, the plug-in hybrid offer is extended.

In addition to the 225 hp and 300 hp versions, the DS7 is the group's third model, after the Peugeot 508 PSE and the DS9 E-Tense 360, to have access to the 360 ​​hp engine combining the 1.6-litre 4-cylinder 200 hp with two electric motors of 110 and 112 hp.

Performance leaps forward: 100 km/h is reached in 5.6 seconds, the 1,000 m standing start is swallowed in 25.4 seconds.

Developed by DS Performance, the DS7 E-Tense 360 ​​hp features a chassis lowered by 15 mm, 21-inch wheels,

tracks widened by 24 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear as well as 380 mm diameter brake discs at the front.

Finally, and this is undoubtedly the most important to lower consumption and CO2 emissions, the rechargeable hybrid versions adopt a 14.2 kWh battery, instead of 13.2 kWh previously.

This development makes it possible to increase the electric range to 65 km and even, according to the manufacturer, to 81 km in the urban cycle.

Reviewed and corrected, the DS7 will be marketed at the start of the school year, at the time of the Paris Motor Show.
