Gas alarm in the supermarket: large contingent rushes to Kirchseeon

A gas leak in a supermarket in Kirchseeon (Ebersberg district) triggered a large-scale operation by the police, rescue service and fire brigade on Sunday.
Eglharting
- gas leak in the Edeka market in Kirchseeon: This alert reached the integrated rescue control center early on Sunday evening around 7.45 p.m.
A large number of fire brigades in Eglharting, Buch, Kirchseeon and Ebersberg were immediately alerted.
In addition to the rescue service and the police, they arrived with around 60 emergency services, the police now report.
Cooling system has a leak: carbon dioxide is escaping
On site, it turned out that a cooling system had a leak and CO2, carbon dioxide, flowed out.
According to a follow-up report from the Ebersberg police inspection, people were not in danger during the operation on Sunday.
A responsible technician was able to seal the leak after the fire brigade had secured the premises.
Traffic has to wait: federal road closed
Traffic in the evening was hampered: The B304 in the area of the Edeka market had to be completely closed for around 45 minutes to cope with the operation.
An atrocity the day before in Vaterstetten caused horror: a cruelly killed cat was found on an adventure playground, whose limbs were apparently severed while still alive.
The police are looking for witnesses, the animal welfare association has offered a reward for information leading to the capture of the unknown animal abuser.
