Waldram
– The celebrations for 27 high school graduates from the St. Matthias Gymnasium began on Friday afternoon with a service accompanied by music in the church of St. Joseph der Arbeiter.
"I hope that you keep your craziness," Matthias Deiss wished.
When they left the church, the head of religious education presented the high school graduates with a highly symbolic, colorful eraser with the inscription “God loves you the way you are”.
Most of the students appeared in costume
Before the subsequent presentation of certificates in the neighboring school auditorium, Headmaster Ralf Wiechmann paid his respects to the graduates, most of whom appeared in Bavarian costumes.
"Only those who have passed the Abitur on the second chance of education know how difficult it is," he explained.
Third Mayor Annette Heinloth, former altar boy in Waldram, praised the tolerance of the St. Matthias High School.
This also includes realizing the idea of inclusion, which Rita Bauer acknowledged in her speech.
The school companion cared for a pupil with special needs and was often in class herself.
"Your openness overwhelmed me," she praised the teachers and students.

However, there were also critical comments.
The two students Pia Müssig and Noel Vogel referred to numerous teacher changes during the corona pandemic and to classmates with adjustment difficulties.
"Everything has two sides, and each side has its justification," said Müssig.
Headmaster Wiechmann, who had criticized the sometimes high pressure of exams in earlier speeches, agreed with her.
"Don't take the grades so seriously: the decisive factor is the courage that everyone stands by what they do," he recommended.
