The housing association Landkreis Miesbach (WLM) has elected a new board and supervisory board.

They want to expand their activity on the housing market.

District – In the district of Miesbach, living space is both a scarce and coveted commodity.

Seen in this way, the purpose of founding the housing cooperative Landkreis Miesbach (WLM) in 1950 was no longer as relevant as it is today: the support of the members, "primarily through a good, safe and socially responsible housing supply".

At their 71st general meeting in the Hotel Karma Bavaria in Schliersee, those responsible for WLM signaled their willingness to be available for future projects in the district.

In view of the "high level of liquid funds", the cooperative is "well equipped" for the acquisition of further existing properties or the construction of new apartments, says managing director Oliver Linke.

Saying goodbye: Manfred Hartl (Member of the Supervisory Board) and Josef Obermeier (Chairman of the Supervisory Board) have served at WLM for almost four decades.

Like Arnfried Färber, they did not run for the new election.

As of December 31, 2021, WLM continued to look after 43 owner associations with 739 residential units and 390 garages or underground parking spaces.

The number of members fell slightly from 259 to 255 due to four additions and eight departures. Sales and total sales recorded growth of around five percent compared to the previous year.

Linke reports that the assets of the cooperative are in good order.

At 96.5 percent, the equity ratio is well above the industry average.

"Due to the significant amount of liquid funds, solvency is secured for the foreseeable future."

Some changes resulted from the regular elections of the two bodies of the cooperative.

Josef Obermeier, Arnfried Färber and Manfred Hartl are resigning from the WLM Supervisory Board at their own request after almost four decades in office.

Linke thanked them on behalf of everyone for their “outstanding work”.

Only Horst Böhm was re-elected, who will have the new Supervisory Board members Josef Schaftari (Second Mayor of the municipality of Hausham), Sebastian Bremm and Adi Eckmair at his side for the next three years.

Eckmair, on the other hand, was previously part of the board, but had also withdrawn from the front row for personal reasons.

Jana Bergmann is now a new member of the board for him.

Thomas Frey completes the management team of the WLM.

Together they want to continue to take the founding idea into account.
