A long-term patient is on the mend:
Erding - The medical care center (MVZ) of the clinic with surgery, orthopedics and gynecology in Erding and Taufkirchen closed 2021 again with a deficit, but it was significantly lower than in the previous year.
In the district committee, District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer (CSU) put the shortfall at just over 270,000 euros, 181,000 euros less than calculated.
Bayerstorfer gave two reasons for the positive development: Despite Corona, a similar number of patients were treated as in the previous year.
In addition, an increase of almost 230,000 euros was achieved with the screening center for which the MVZ is responsible.
However, this source of income is not available to the MVZ indefinitely, which is why the MVZ will have to continue its restructuring course.
The clinic service subsidiary ProMed generated a surplus of almost 8500 euros in the previous year, the district administrator announced.
