A traffic accident occurred in Kwun Tong.
At about 4 am today (28th), a compact truck was driving along the Kwun Tong Bypass towards Mong Kok.
When approaching near Kwun Tong Waterfront Garden, it was reported that it stopped at the side of the slow lane due to a flat tire, and the dead light had been turned on.
But about 20 minutes later, a taxi suddenly slammed the rear of the truck, and the front of the truck was destroyed like scrap metal. The taxi driver was trapped in the car. It took about 10 minutes to rescue him. He suffered severe facial and chest injuries and fell into a coma. He was immediately taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance, but recovered consciousness after being rescued.

According to the scene, the driver of the truck turned on the dead light immediately after parking the car on the side of the road, and got out of the car and gestured to the vehicle behind.
However, when the taxi involved arrived, there was no sign of twisting, and it seemed to be unconsciously shaking towards the rear of the truck.
The truck driver was shocked when he saw this, and hurriedly escaped on the road shoulder next to the car, avoiding the accident in time without being injured.
Police are now investigating the cause of the crash.
