Strengthening the flank is of crucial importance.

We have already doubled the number of our troops in Estonia.

In my opinion, there are several things to take into account.

First of all, we are working on having a real deterrent capability by interdiction on the eastern flank.

Second, we need more people, and the UK has already taken steps to fill that gap.

Thirdly, I think we have to admit that this posture must be more permanent because the appalling Russian invasion of Ukraine means a permanently degraded level of security in Europe.
