Will there be a tenth group in the National Assembly?
For several days, discussions have been active around the creation of a new force which would bring together at least fifteen “nomads” from the Palais Bourbon, not finding their place among the groups already established.
The operation is however complex, as the profiles to be brought together are different, even divergent.
The main objective is shared: to do everything not to sit as a non-attached - this non-status which deprives of regular speaking time and access to posts in the Assembly.
During the last legislature, the problem had already arisen, and the Freedoms and Territories group, then headed by Bertrand Pancher, had seen the light of day with sixteen members.
On the other hand, he did not get everyone to agree, and a dozen unregistered elected officials, including those of the National Rally, had come to terms with their fate.
