The top seed's victory against Kwon was not as routine as some had hoped.
First, because he came back from a break down in the first set and then Kwon leveled the match by taking the second set.
Djokovic began to find his rhythm towards the end of the fourth set and secured victory with a break midway through the set, just after he had salvaged three points on his own serve.
With this victory, Djokovic reaches 22 consecutive wins at Wimbledon, a streak that started from the 2017 quarterfinals. Djokovic will face either Thanasi Kokkinakis or Kamil Majchrzak in the second round.
