No, the experiment launched from July 1 by the Val Parisis urban community has much more down-to-earth objectives.
The largest agglomeration of the department (about 280,000 inhabitants for its fifteen municipalities) will indeed turn off public lighting in the middle of the night, from 1:15 a.m. to 4:45 a.m., to limit energy consumption and preserve the environment.
