But there was a scandal that will probably not soon be forgotten in the Upper Bavarian community in the Traunstein district.
Eggs thrown at Söder: Protection by umbrella
On Thursday, June 23, Prime Minister Söder appeared at a fire brigade festival in the Tengling district.
About 1500 people were present in the marquee.
According to a police spokesman, there were already "expressions of displeasure" from a table during Söder's speech.
Then suddenly two eggs flew in the direction of Söder.
However, according to the police press release, these missed the CSU leader.
The security service immediately intervened: Söder was protected from possible further flying objects with transparent umbrellas, two other security employees referred two people out of the tent.

Throwing eggs at Markus Söder in Bavaria: scandal during speech in Taching
The investigation is now being carried out by the criminal police against a 44-year-old from the northern district on suspicion of attempted bodily harm.
So far, Markus Söder has not commented on the incident.
The reason for throwing eggs at the Bavarian Prime Minister is also unclear so far.
