On the second day of the G7 summit, the elite of international politics will focus on the war in Ukraine, among other things.

Summary of the schedule for Monday.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen - On the first day of the G7 summit in Elmau, the politicians had to stick to a tight schedule.

The heads of state exchanged views on various topics of world politics.

Olaf Scholz and Joe Biden announced a "partnership for global infrastructure and investment", the obligatory group photo was taken at the Merkel Obama Bank, which became famous in 2015, the politicians made fun of Vladimir Putin.

G7 summit in Elmau: schedule for Monday

On Monday, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj will be connected virtually in the morning, and at noon the other heads of state from India, Indonesia, South Africa, Senegal and Argentina invited to the meeting, who Markus Söder already received in Munich, will arrive.

Further demonstrations are planned, including a march to Elmau Castle.

  • 10:00-12:00: Fourth working session with virtual participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy 

  • 12:00: Arrival of the other Heads of State and Government invited to the meeting

  • 12:30: Fifth working session with the other Heads of State and Government invited to the meeting on the topics of health, energy and climate;

    followed by a group photo 

  • 15:30: Sixth Extended Working Session on Gender Justice and Global Food Security;

    Virtual participation of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres

  • 18:30: Dinner

  • 10:00 a.m.: Meeting with a master violin maker in Mittenwald

  • 11:30 am: Meeting with climate change researchers

  • 4:00 p.m.: Meeting with the Olympic youth group Biathlon Werdenfels and other athletes
