Celebrated for its incomparable beauty, Croatia is a permanent invitation to escape.
How can you resist the mildness of its climate, its unspoiled nature or the limpidity of its cerulean waters?
Spreading out more than 6,000 km of coastline, rich in a thousand islands and at least as many deserted coves suitable for a stopover, it offers boating enthusiasts an infinite range of possibilities.
An ideal opportunity to learn about boating, or even rent a yacht to discover this country of captivating wonders by sea.
It is indeed necessary to take the time to admire by boat the line of coast which draw the bays and the reliefs plunging in the Adriatic before landing at the Brijuni islands, close to Pula, then on the archipelago of Kornati, located at the wide of Zadar.
Their preservation in national parks and their jealously protected environment make these places of splendor and tranquility veritable Edens.
We will not miss this treasure of greenery that is the Krka National Park: it has seven majestic waterfalls, like natural monuments dispensing their beneficial freshness.

The taste of culture
A paradise for water sports, whether diving or regattas, Croatia is also renowned for the diversity of its cultural heritage.
In Istria, the Roman amphitheater and the temple of Augustus testifying to three thousand year old roots make Pula a fascinating stopover.
The Dalmatian coast also abounds in exceptional sites whose visit is a source of dazzling as well as emotions: Split (whose historic center is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List) for the palace of the last pagan Roman emperor Diocletian;
medieval Dubrovnik, with its impressive fortified walls, and its theater festival every summer.
Or Šibenik, overlooked by Saint-Jacques Cathedral – also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
If the
međimurska popevka
(popular song) is one of the great Croatian traditions, it competes with another local specialty: gastronomy.
Fresh fish
na gradele
(grilled), lamb from the islands with aromatic herbs, shellfish, but also Komiža pie, corn cake (
Kukuruzna zlevka
) or quince paste… The list of delicacies is almost as long as that of the grands crus from Motovun, Kutjevo or Medjimurje!
Needless to say more: this year again, Croatia will be a dream to live fully awake...
