The Iraqi Minister of Health, Hani Musa Al-Aqabi, discussed with the Syrian Ambassador in Baghdad, Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, ways to enhance joint cooperation in the health field.
An official statement of the Iraqi Ministry of Health, a copy of which was received by SANA’s correspondent in Baghdad, said that “the meeting discussed strengthening joint health cooperation in the field of the pharmaceutical industry and health supplies, as well as exchanging experiences in the medical and health fields.”
The statement indicated that "Al-Aqabi praised the joint cooperation between the Iraqi and Syrian ministries of health, which advances medical services in both countries."
For his part, Ambassador Al-Dandah confirmed in a statement to the reporter that “the meeting discussed the importance of aspects related to the health system and the need to sign a memorandum of understanding to organize the entry of medicine, to overcome the obstacles that have been diagnosed and to overcome all the reasons that prevent the entry of medicine.”
Al-Dandah added that "the two sides affirmed their desire to establish complementary investment projects in the field of health to enhance cooperation and partnership in the interests of both countries."
