The Monodrama Theatrical Festival in its second session continued its performances on the stage of the House of Culture in Hama, which hosted today the play “On the Way to Life” written by Muhammad Anmar Hijazi, directed by Muhammad Marwan Idlebi and represented by Dr. Muhammad al-Sheikh.
The director of the work, Muhammad Marwan Idlbi, director of the labor theater in Aleppo, told SANA reporter that the text “On the Verge of Life” was realistic, processed in a directorial way, and transformed into a visual show that talks about a father who lost his two sons during the years of the war on Syria, one of whom is a martyr fighter in the ranks of the Syrian Arab Army, and the other who lost him when trying to emigrate. Outside the country and with all that this father lost, he remained clinging to hope

The play's author, Muhammad Anmar Hijazi, director of the National Theater in Aleppo and the National Library, explained that the idea of the work came because of the cruel and painful war that affected all segments of society, especially the steadfast and those who adhere to the homeland.
He pointed out that the show begins by talking about wars in general in the world and is moving towards the family of a father who lost his two sons in Aleppo and suffered severe suffering as a result of adhering to the homeland, explaining that small details were touched upon to restore hope again to a country whose people loved life to live more loving and hopeful moments.
Sami Taha, director of culture in Hama, said that today's show is an integrated one that talks about the stage of war, victory and the end, indicating the importance of this festival in providing an opportunity for the participation of teams from outside the governorate, as it opens a space for dialogue with the participation of great artists and establishes a new theatrical culture.
Tomorrow evening, as part of the activities of the third day of the Monodrama Theater Festival, the “Wooden Parties Exhibition” written by Daoud Abu Shakra and directed by Suleiman Ghaibour will be presented on the stage of the House of Culture in Hama.
