Two life-threatening injuries because an SUV driver operated her car incorrectly: at a birthday party she accidentally went full throttle.
Riedstadt – Serious accident at a birthday party in Riedstadt in southern Hesse: three women were seriously injured on Friday evening, two of them critically, the police said.
A total of seven people were injured when a woman accidentally drove her car through a guest lounge at a barbecue hut.
After initial investigations, the police assume that the cause of the accident was accidental incorrect operation of the car by the 33-year-old driver, who was also a guest.
At first it was said that the woman had driven through the barbecue hut.

The 33-year-old and her husband got into their SUV parked in front of the hut, gave full throttle and drove through the directly adjacent, covered lounge area, the police said.
Three women aged 39, 41 and 43, including the hostess, were seriously injured - one of them was taken to the hospital by helicopter.
75 emergency services at a birthday party - guests looked after by pastors
As the police announced on Saturday, two of the seriously injured were in mortal danger.
Three other people aged 37, 43 and 44 and the driver escaped with minor injuries.
Other guests were cared for by a pastor.
Around 75 emergency services were deployed after the incident in the Riedstadt district of Crumstadt.
Also at the weekend, two 13-year-olds came to the aid of a man after an accident - unfortunately too late.
