Ukraine War: Russia shells several major cities

In the Ukraine war, both sides accuse each other of heavy rocket attacks.
Especially in the east, Russia is putting more and more pressure on the neighboring country.
Kyiv – Russia continues its invasion of Ukraine.
During the night of Monday (June 27) there were attacks on several large cities.
In particular, the strategically important city of Lyssychansk is the focus of the troops under Vladimir Putin.
Attacks are also said to have come from Ukraine.

Lysychansk is the last city in the Luhansk Oblast still under Ukrainian control.
Pressure mounts on Lysychansk after capturing the twin city of Sieverodonetsk across the Seversky Donets River, with renewed artillery attacks reported on Sunday evening.
As the General Staff of Ukraine announced, civilian and military infrastructure had been hit.
Russia is said to attack the city primarily from the south.
The area around the city of Lysychansk in eastern Ukraine is gradually being occupied by Russia.

Ukraine War: Heavy rocket attack reported by Russia
A heavy rocket attack is said to have taken place in the Odessa region in southern Ukraine.
Six people were "harmed", as the German press agency writes in relation to the Ukrainian military command south.
There are also reports from the Ukrainian side of fighting on Snake Island in the Black Sea, which Russia has conquered.
Details were not available.

Russia accuses Ukraine of attacking oil rig
Russia also reported attacks on its own infrastructure on Sunday evening.
Another oil rig in the Black Sea is said to have been attacked by Ukraine.
As with the shelling of such platforms on Monday (June 20), these are facilities that originally belonged to Ukraine.
The oil rigs were occupied when Russia annexed Crimea in March 2014.
No casualties were reported in the latest attack.

In addition to the militant developments in the Ukraine conflict, Russia has confirmed its own conditions for renewed negotiations.
As at the beginning of the war, the demands from Moscow are for Ukraine to recognize Russian-occupied territories.
The eastern Ukrainian separatist regions of Donetsk and Luhansk are to be accepted as independent states, and the annexed peninsula of Crimea as Russian state territory.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made it clear in the past that he wants to retake all of his country's territory.
Before his appearance at the G7 summit on Monday in Bavaria, he called for the delivery of modern air defense systems from the West.
