With the participation of 44 male and female players from different centers, the Lattakia Open Chess Championship, which was held by the Technical Committee at Al-Basel Stadium, was concluded.
Haider Jumaa Zabadna won the first place, followed by Hassan Aboud in second place, Hamza Masoud third, Wissam Khair Bey fourth, Ashraf Sadiq fifth, and the centers were determined in a round of differentiation between them, Ward Hassan sixth and Tim Hassan seventh.
In a statement to SANA, Chairman of the Chess Technical Committee Nayef Esber explained that this tournament is open to all ages, distinguished males and females, and witnessed strong and exciting competitions, pointing out that there will be more activities and tournaments for all groups in a way that contributes to the dissemination and development of the game in the governorate.
