On the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the liberation of Quneitra and the raising of the Syrian flag in its sky, the Activities Hall in Dar al-Assad for Culture in Latakia hosted a lecture entitled “The Golan in Syria’s Eyes” by researcher Bassam Jablawi.

In his lecture, Jablawi emphasized the Syrian identity of the occupied Syrian Arab Golan with its villages and farms, and that it is an integral part of Syrian geography, as it is a fact firmly rooted in the heart and conscience of every Syrian despite the crimes committed by the usurping Zionist entity against our people and its continuous attempts to rob us of its identity, history and civilization.

The researcher also touched on the importance of the Golan in terms of area and geographical location, and its richness in natural resources, mineral springs and folklore, which its people are keen to revive and preserve and document its ancient history through their literary and poetic writings.

He pointed to the role of the media in exposing the brutal practices of the Zionist enemy, of plundering goods, distorting facts and violating the rights of the Syrian people in the Golan, as well as the importance of the Syrian educational curricula in clarifying the reality of the Syrian-Zionist conflict for future generations because they are the builders of the future.

At the conclusion of his lecture, Jablawi affirmed that the Golan will inevitably return with the determination of the loyal sons of the homeland, such as Sedqi al-Maqt and other free people who stood in the face of injustice and struggled and defended the freedom of their homelands and did not abandon their cause despite torture and intimidation in the prisons of the occupation.

It is noteworthy that Bassam Jablawi is a lecturer and researcher in history and heritage and has many books, including an introduction to labor culture, the foundations of trade union and vocational training and qualification, work culture, the history of Kufa and child labor in Syria, which is in seven parts.
