The US authorities announced that 12,000 bullets, in addition to machine guns, rifles and pistols, had been found after a confrontation between a gunman at his home with police officers in the US state of Minnesota.
CNN reported that based on arrest warrants, a squad of Special Operations Forces (Sales) in the city of Saint Cloud surrounded Brandon Gardis' house with armored vehicles, but while he was holed up inside the house, he opened fire on the police and clashes erupted between the two sides. It lasted for hours.
She explained that the arrest warrants were issued against the background of Gardis raising a gun in the face of a priest, in addition to assaulting his wife.
Gardis, who was accompanied by his 13-year-old son inside the house, repeatedly fired on police officers after they broke into the house, broke through the door with an armored car, used nerve gas, and hit the armored vehicles.
After Gardis was shot, investigators found more than 12,000 bullets and a number of weapons inside the house, including Kalashnikovs, AR-15 rifles, pistols and body armor.
Not a week goes by in the United States without records of gun deaths, with more than 400 million guns registered in a country of about 330 million people.
