The student learns to drive a truck from the teacher, who thought he already had a private car license - but never checked it • The vehicle was marked with an official driving test sign, and the student drove dangerously • He claims his teacher asked him to take the vehicle to another destination in the city

Driving wildly and dangerously: A driving student drove his teacher's vehicle at his request - and without the teacher being present.

Safed police officers yesterday (Monday) noticed a driving school vehicle marked as being in an official test by the Licensing Office, which drove around the city endangering passers-by and violating traffic laws.

The policemen stopped the driver, but a surprise awaited them: only the student was sitting in the vehicle, without the teacher.

The patrol officers hurried to stop the vehicle on the side, and then the student, a resident of Safed in his 20s, said that his teacher asked him to take the vehicle and transfer it to a parking lot in the city.

The young man learns to drive a truck, but has never issued a driver's license for a private car.

The Safed police chief, Sen. Itzik Abuhatzira, told Israel Today:

The teacher should check if the student holds a driver's license. "

The two were detained at the police station in Safed.

An unlicensed driving proceeding has been opened against the student, and he will be summoned to court.

The teacher is suspected of having permission to drive a vehicle without a driver's license.
