In an online survey, the young people in the VG Aßling were able to make wishes and suggestions about what they would like in their community.

The results were presented at the DGH.

As part of an online survey, the Aßling administrative community recently contacted more than 600 children and young people between the ages of eleven and 18 in their catchment area.

The young people should thus have the opportunity to express their wishes and ideas for youth work in their respective communities (Aßling, Emmering and Frauenneuharting).

Youth survey: It must be clarified what the young people want

Because: "In order to be able to implement successful and goal-oriented youth work, it must be clarified what the young people want," says youth worker Viktor Wahlandt.

After the pandemic and its restrictions, fresh wind should now come back into the Aßlinger youth work.

247 young people from the three communities took part in the survey, most of them aged 13 and 14;

with 164, most of the participants come from Aßling.

Youth survey: Majority of young people go home after school

The questions were used to determine what the young people are currently doing.

The result: 111 of them attend middle school, 59 junior high school, 42 high school and 17 are already in training.

The remaining 31 are divided between FOS/BOS, special schools, "other" or did not want to give any information.

The vast majority of young people go home after school, many to friends with whom they like to meet at the sports field, at home or at the ice cream parlor.

Online survey: 17 percent visit a youth club

131 of the children are active club members or players.

39 of the participants visit a youth club.

"That's 17 percent and that's relatively high," explains Wahlandt.

Normal is a single digit range.

In Aßling, there are even 21 percent of the young people taking part.
