Students of technical institutes at the University of Aleppo participating in the summer practical training program implemented by the Aleppo Chamber of Industry are achieving positive, tangible results that are reflected in the development of the skills of the 225 male and female trainees through their direct involvement in work and production in industrial facilities of all kinds, engineering, textile, food and chemical, operating and repairing machines, in implementation of linking the aspect Theoretical to practical application.

SANA’s camera accompanied the training of students in the industrial facilities in Sheikh Najjar and Al-Layramoun, where the student, Rifa’a Fares, from the Agricultural Technical Institute, the Food Department, explained that during her visit to the factory for the production of chocolate and foodstuffs, she was able to see the production process, operate the machines, and contribute to working with the workers.

Nour Attar said, "She gained experience during her participation in the production process and enhanced the theoretical information that she studied at the university with practical application, and this enables her to engage in the labor market in the future.

The industrialist, Muhammad Naal, owner of a facility, stated that cooperation with the University of Aleppo contributes to providing students with practical experience by allowing them to participate in the production process and maintenance of machines and production lines.

In an engineering facility for the manufacture and rolling of iron, student Mohammed Qattan said, “The summer training program enabled him and his colleagues to get acquainted with the process of iron manufacturing and participate in welding and production work on the ground.”

This was confirmed by the student Hadeel Hassan, who participated in the production of the prefabricated rooms, while Suzan Al-Assaad said, “She is dismantling and installing machines dedicated to the production of refrigerators and air conditioning systems, which she could not achieve with her theoretical studies, and thus encouraged her to continue training and enter the labor market in the future.”

Dr. Roli Mardelli, supervisor of training at the technical institutes at the University of Aleppo, spoke about the joint efforts of the university and the Chamber of Industry to link the labor market with science through the implementation of a practical training program that targets the students of the institute in its seven departments, thus securing job opportunities for graduate students and supplying industrial facilities with trained cadres.

Engineer Raafat Shammaa, Secretary of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, pointed out that the Chamber is working to enhance the students' abilities and link the theoretical case with the practical through the training period, which lasted for more than three weeks, thus achieving positive results and meeting the needs of the labor market with qualified cadres.

And Dr. Maher Karman, President of the University of Aleppo, indicated that the summer training program for institute students contributes to providing students with practical experience on the ground in industrial facilities of all kinds, and thus, after graduation, they can find job opportunities and participate in the reconstruction and reconstruction of Syria.
