After the G7 summit in Elmau, Interior Minister Herrmann spoke up.
He defends the high police presence - and criticizes the cooperation with the American Secret Service.
Munich – The police presence in Elmau in Upper Bavaria is enormous: around 18,000 officers are on duty in Elmau because of the G7 summit.
This has a particularly significant impact on local residents.
On Tuesday, for example, nobody moved for hours because the streets were closed for hours while the politicians were leaving - which caused too much displeasure among the citizens.

The Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann defends the high police presence in Elmau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
At a press conference in Munich, however, he described the road closures as "not normal".
He says he regrets the situation.
Herrmann criticizes cooperation with Secret Service
And Herrmann was critical of the US President's security staff.
"It's not easy working with the Secret Service," said the Minister of the Interior.
The information is often vague.
He describes the fact that the roads through Garmisch-Partenkirchen were closed for so long as "an unreasonable demand on the population."
