The G7 summit at Schloss Elmau is entering the next round.

Between the busy daily schedule, the politicians are looked after royally.

These luxurious dishes are on the menu.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen – The heads of state of the seven major industrial nations have a lot to do at the moment.

At the G7 summit in Elmau, they have been discussing the most important issues in world politics since Sunday (June 26).

On Monday, the Ukraine war is the main focus.

Between the strictly scheduled meetings, politicians also have to fortify themselves - and of course they do that with particularly high-quality food.

The lavish menu sequences are served to the politicians in various restaurants.

So on Sunday afternoon we ate in the yoga pavilion and dined in the summit restaurant.

On Monday, lunch will be in the Fidelio restaurant and in the evening the Retreat Glass Pavilion and Foyer Lounge.

Of course, all the dishes served to the heads of government from the USA, England, Japan, Canada, Italy, Germany and France are only the finest.

G7 summit 2022 in Elmau: That's how decadent the politicians feast on the days of the meeting

has opened the menu for the first and second summit day and revealed what the top chefs from Schloss Elmau are feeding the statesmen with.

On the first day of the summit, a fish dish was on the menu in the retreat's yoga pavilion, where the G7 leaders were spoiled for lunch: Birnbaum's gold trout from Landsberg, poached in camelina oil.

In the evening, the culinary journey continued at least as luxuriously.

The guests were served a so-called Bavarian organic ancient grain with creamy risotto, shrimp patties, chanterelles and marinated mountain meadow herbs.

Alternatively, a Murnau veal fillet cooked in hay with elderflower jus, pointed cabbage and cheese dumplings with a liquid core was on the menu on Sunday evening.

From alpine salmon caviar to blueberry lavender slices: luxury dishes at the G7 summit 2022

On the second day of the G7 summit, the chefs will be preparing further gourmet dishes in the Fidelio restaurant.

For example, the politicians can enjoy alpine salmon caviar and filet at lunchtime.

There are also watercress, cucumber and summer turnips.

Finally, on Monday evening, a buffet is prepared for guests to help themselves to.

On offer: Bavarian prawns, fish on a stick and crayfish mouth swap.

For dessert there are, among other things, fine blueberry and lavender slices.

The heads of state are certainly not doing badly during their time in Bavaria as far as their physical well-being is concerned.

However, it is foreseeable that the network will be just as upset about the decadent feasting as it is about Markus Söder's outfit when he received Joe Biden.
