Clean-up work after the storm: As here in Gmund yesterday morning, only leaves lying on the street were evidence of the storm the previous evening.
Unlike the many car damages that could easily be repaired.

Kreuth – It was a thunderstorm like an elemental force that pushed through Kreuth into the district on Monday evening and left a trail of devastation in its wake.
After 8 p.m., hailstones the size of tennis balls fell from the sky and smashed everything that was not up to the violence.
And these were primarily cars that were parked outside or that could not be brought to safety in time.
The consequences: broken windows and dented sheet metal.
Photovoltaic and solar systems were also damaged or smashed.

District fire chief Thomas Wolf also confirms this when asked by our newspaper: "All the cars that were outside are broken."
The district of Scharling in particular was hit.
"The cell came over the Hirschberg and moved on towards Wallberg," he reports.
After 10 p.m. there was a second wave, but it was no longer as violent.
Fire brigade not required
Despite the violence of the storm cloud, there were no operations for the fire brigades.
Only in Bad Wiessee, where the extent was not so bad, did the heavy rain ensure that the gullies on the federal highway 318 between the town hall and the Hotel Bussi Baby were clogged with leaves.
The fire department had to evacuate.
The hail cell also caused a lot of trouble for some holiday guests.
Because damaged cars cannot be repaired so quickly at the moment due to the large number of cases: the workshops lack capacity and replacement material.
Appraisers who document damage in advance for insurance companies are also scarce and fully booked.
District fire chief advises: check roofs
District Fire Chief Wolf also advises homeowners to have their roofs examined carefully so that any damage up there - including to photovoltaic and solar systems - can be quickly identified and repaired.
Consequential damage caused by undiscovered leaks would be doubly annoying.
