Wippenhausen

– Also in Wippenhausen last weekend it was time to get out and finally celebrate a real village festival.

For two days, the people of Wippenhausen had a really good time – with a fresh beer and a rich selection of Bavarian delicacies.

For the second mayor of Kirchdorf, Helmut Wildgruber, this year's village festival was once again, as he said, one thing above all: a complete success.

Fire brigade and rifle club Wippenhausen more than satisfied

The two organisers, the volunteer fire brigade and the Wippenhausen rifle club, were happy: the best weather and thirsty and hungry citizens who came in droves on Saturday.

"There were a lot more than usual," confirmed Wildgruber when asked by FT.

His assumption: "After Corona, people just want to experience something again." Around 320 village festival fans even overwhelmed the french fryer for a short time - of course also because a surprising number of children accepted the invitation to Wippenhausen with games, fun and excitement were.

"Then the electricity was simply cut off," said Wildgruber - fortunately the temporary French fries bottleneck was quickly resolved.

There was also quite a run on the bouncy castle, which magically attracted the youngsters with a chic water world look.

Another highlight for the kids: the fire brigade's team car, which will soon be retired.

Here, potential young Florians disciples were allowed to explore the interior and even press the blue light button.

Light shooting in the Schützenheim

The village festival organizers have come up with something very special for the slightly older children – namely light shooting in the Schützenheim.

Here they shoot with a laser instead of live ammunition, which caused quite a crowd at the targets.

Dusk morning pint was well received

It then continued on Sunday with a “twilight drink” from 5 p.m., which was attended by around 100 people.

Around 350 liters of beer should have flowed on these days, as Wildgruber emphasized.

The deputy mayor of Kirchdorf was very pleased that the "small but fine" village festival was once again such a success.

Especially because the Wippenhausen village festival has been celebrated annually for at least 30 years and this beautiful tradition simply has to live on.

According to Wildgruber, one thing also proves how important it is to people: "Everyone helped with the set-up and dismantling!" But above all, his thanks go to the volunteer team of both clubs, who kept both days running with a lot of passion.
