At record temperatures of more than 30 degrees, the Allershausen fishing club celebrated its popular fishing festival last weekend.
Allershausen
– Due to the rainy summer last year, two alternative dates had already been set this year.
You could have saved yourself that: With temperatures up to 34 degrees, the fishing club was able to organize and enjoy its popular fishing festival on the weekend right on the first date.
"Of course it's twice as warm for us grillers," said Andreas Spicker from the fishing association, while he was preparing the fish over glowing coals.
"But of course the joy of how many people come and have fun is huge." The association had provided proper catering: There were smoked trout, grilled mackerel and fish and salmon rolls at various stands.
Everyone who doesn't like fish was well taken care of, after all, every guest should go home full and satisfied.
With Emmental, Allgäu mountain cheese and pretzels, there was something for everyone at the end.
Of course, the drinks were particularly important given the record temperatures.
Spezi, lemonade, water and beer were enjoyed by the residents of Allershausen and all guests from outside.
If you needed a change from eating and chatting, you could try your luck at the raffle booth.
The popularity of the fisherman's festival can also be seen from the fish sold: "On Saturday alone, people ate around 1,000 fish," said Spicker.
The fishing club is already looking forward to the next festival and hopes that the weather will always be good in the future.
