Cassidy Hutchinson, former senior adviser to Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, will testify Tuesday at a last-minute hearing scheduled by the committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol storming, three sources confirmed to our network. sister NBC News.
In taped testimony filed last week, Hutchinson told investigators that a group of Republican Party (GOP) lawmakers had sought presidential pardons following the uprising on Capitol Hill, including Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida. , and Mo Brooks, for Alabama.

Hutchinson and her attorney did not respond to a request for comment Monday.

The panel unexpectedly announced Monday that it would hold a hearing on Tuesday to present new evidence and hear testimony from witnesses, but did not specify who would offer testimony as it has in previous hearings.

The commission had previously said it would take a break from presenting evidence to the public until mid-July.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 1 pm ET, according to a notice the committee sent Monday.
