The Fraunberger Bürgersaal has been transformed into a fashion department: the premiere of the clothing exchange was a complete success.
Fraunberg - "The clothes exchange is a great idea," said Martina Müller from Reichenkirchen.
She had just exchanged a brand new bikini, which didn't fit her after ordering, for airy linen pants.
Sustainability is very important in the municipality of Fraunberg.
On Saturday afternoon, the new sustainability and climate protection project group led by Charlotte Lehner, Sophia Leiß and Maxi Hermansdorfer from the Fraunberg community development association held a clothing exchange for the first time in the Bürgersaal.
To do this, they had transformed the Bürgersaal into a chic fashion department with changing rooms.
"Clothing exchanges are seen as a form of expression of consumer criticism and as a contribution to sustainability," the young people advertised their project.
Already on Friday, participants were allowed to hand in up to seven pieces of clothing in a good and clean condition.
They were checked and sorted on site.
Numerous fashion freaks, especially girls and women, took the opportunity to freshen up their outfits for the upcoming summer on site.
At the end of the special shopping tour, those willing to exchange could voluntarily leave feedback on the premiere of the exchange with suggestions for improvement.
If you didn't have any clothes to swap, you could still buy some for small sums of money.
The proceeds benefit the association for the implementation of new projects.
Anything left over will be donated.
"First we will contact the Erdinger refugee aid," said the young people.
After the strong premiere, you can well imagine a continuation of the clothing exchange.
Then probably in the spring, when they switch from winter to spring clothing, they thought.
