The heads of government arriving for the G7 summit were greeted by people in traditional costumes at Munich Airport.
Among them was a group from Prem.
Prem/Munich – "Grüß Gott in Bayern", with these words, a firm handshake and a small present, Ronja (10) and Leonhard Heisserer (14) welcomed the heads of government who traveled to Schloss Elmau for the G7 summit on Sunday.
The siblings from Prem didn't have to think long when they were asked whether they would like to take on this task, says Mama Ingrid Heiserer.
After all, it's "a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
And that's why the two were quite excited.
Together with a few other members of the Premer Trachtenverein, the "children's couple" took the minibus to Munich Airport on Sunday, where the heads of state were to land throughout the day.

Neither the Heiserers nor the standard-bearer Siegfried Eberle know exactly why a group from Prem was selected.
In any case, the Bavarian Trachtenverband was asked about it and the confirmation came about ten days ago, according to Eberle.
Seven years ago he was present at the reception of the then G7 guests.
G7: Trachtler welcome heads of government - exhausting day
Even if the experience was a special one, the day was exhausting.
"It's no picnic," says Eberle.
The Premers started at 3 a.m., after all they still had to go through security at the airport and welcome the first guests at 5 a.m.
Before that there was a small rehearsal.

The costumers had to report all data days in advance.
It was quite warm at the airport, says Eberle.
And there was a lot of waiting.
According to Heiserer, the heads of government landed about every hour and a half.
In the evening at 6.30 p.m. the last one: Joko Widodo from Indonesia.
Here, too, Ronja and Leonhard were the first to greet him.
"It was quite an experience," says Heiserer.
