The grandmother's husband, Rolando Reyes, said his wife was shot in the face at their home.
The attack on the woman came before her grandson headed to Robb Elementary School and killed 19 children and two teachers, according to authorities.
Reyes told CNN last month that a bullet pierced his wife's jaw and upper cheek, and she will need major reconstructive surgery at a San Antonio hospital.
