It's hot with the Austrian neighbors.
In Vienna in particular, not only people are groaning because of the high temperatures.
The first bosses are already giving "heat free".
Vienna - It's hot with the Austrian neighbors.
And according to the weather forecast, it will be even hotter.
In the course of the week, according to
derstandad.at
, there is hardly any sign of relaxation, especially in the east of the country.
In the middle of the week, people and animals can expect maximum temperatures of up to 36 degrees.
First shopkeepers quit and give themselves and the crew heat free.
Fiaker horses and a nail studio call it a day earlier
In the second district of Vienna, for example, a nail salon decided without further ado to not work.
Here, on Monday, customers stood in front of closed doors,
reports
oe24.at.
Because when the temperature was around 35 degrees, the service provider closed.
"Closed today because of the heat," read the customers on the notice on the door.
And the Fiaker horses also got a break from the heat on Monday.
At 4 p.m. the 35 degree mark was cracked - the horses were allowed to trot home.
If it is very warm in the country in summer, it glows in the city.
Dark surfaces, roofs, as well as asphalt and concrete store heat.
A dense development emits less evaporation cold, which is caused by trees and plants, for example.
Heat wave - values are likely to be exceeded
The turn of the month should be particularly hot: "The models point to great heat in the east with maximum values of around 38 degrees, so the testimony day in Vienna and in Burgenland will not only be sweaty for the children," predicts Manfred Spatzierer, chief meteorologist at
UWZ
.
The highest temperature of the year so far was 36.5 degrees in Austria on June 19 in Feldkirch.
But this value is likely to be exceeded next week.
