The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that the absence of international accountability encourages the Israeli occupation to deepen the plight of the Palestinian people and commit more crimes against them, foremost of which are settlements, leading to the annexation of the West Bank and closing the door to any opportunity to establish a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the occupation’s demolition of Palestinian homes and facilities and expansion of settlement operations is a crime that expresses the essence of its colonial Zionist scheme, which targets all of historic Palestine, displacing its original owners and changing its natural, historical and cultural features by flooding it with millions of foreign colonists.

The Foreign Ministry condemned the recent demolitions of 17 homes and facilities in occupied Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank, noting that the occupation continues to distribute demolition notices against Palestinian homes and facilities as an extension of its open war on the Palestinian presence.

The Foreign Ministry pointed out that international positions do not rise to the level of the crimes of the occupation and will remain in place and revolve in the orbit of the occupation and its racist policies unless they are translated into actions that guarantee their cessation and lead to the implementation of international legitimacy resolutions in a manner that guarantees the end of the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine.
