Almost an hour late, the first Parisian show by Colm Dillane, the creator of
KidSuper
(joint winner of the Karl Lagerfeld Prize at the LVMH Prize 2021), finally begins.
For the occasion, the House of Steelworkers, a well-known space for parades, has been transformed into an auction room.
Rapper Tyga and Alexandre Arnault are in the front row.
Auctioneer Lydia Fenet is on the hammer.
Twenty-three paintings signed by the American designer are put up for sale (without anyone really knowing if the auction is real), while double-breasted suits, dresses and denim jackets printed with the motifs of the paintings parade.
