Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that President Vladimir Putin did not talk to his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko about transferring nuclear missiles to Minsk.
"President Putin did not talk about this, but rather about missile complexes that are technically capable of carrying various types of weapons," RT channel quoted Peskov as saying today.
Putin had announced during his meeting with Lukashenko in St. Petersburg last Saturday that Russia would provide Belarus in the coming months with the Iskander-M tactical missile systems, which can be used to launch ballistic and winged missiles using both nuclear and regular munitions.
