Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, denied once again that the Russian army had struck a shopping center in Kremenchug, stressing that what was targeted were weapons depots imported from the West.
"The Russian army launched a strike with precision-guided weapons on depots containing Western weapons and ammunition received from the United States and European countries near the Kremenchug land vehicle plant," Polyansky said in a statement during a session of the UN Security Council today, commenting on the talks about targeting a center of procrastination in Kremenchug.
He added that "these weapons and ammunition were confined throughout the storage area to be shipped back to the Ukrainian armed formations in Donbass and used against residential areas in Donetsk, Lugansk and other cities," stressing that "the Russian strike prevented this matter."
Earlier today, Polyansky confirmed on his Twitter account that the accusations against Russia of bombing the city of Kremenchug are "new fabrications similar to the ones that occurred in the city of Bucha."
