A fire broke out at the Ping Zhongdian Cable Bridge in Long Ping, Yuen Long last Tuesday night (21st), resulting in power outages in Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai and Tuen Mun, affecting about 160,000 residents in the area.
CLP said today (28th) that it had completed the energization of the first and second sets of new 132,000-volt UHV cables on June 24th and yesterday (27th) successively, and was the last at 3:00 a.m. today. The group of 132,000 volt cables is energized, and the power supply capacity of the power grid in the area has returned to normal.
