The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that 17,000 people have been evacuated from Ukraine and the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics to Russia during the past 24 hours.

According to Mizintsev, 2,170,552 people, including 343,336 children, have been evacuated, and 334,985 vehicles have crossed into Russia since the start of the Ukraine operation on February 24.
Miznetsev also noted that more than 9,500 temporary accommodation centers continue to operate in Russian regions where efforts are being made to help refugees find jobs and receive social benefits and medical assistance.
