A person has laid a severed head in front of the Bonn district court.
A suspect has been arrested.
The police gave the first details.
Update from June 28, 9:05 p.m .:
After the discovery of a severed human head in front of the district court in Bonn, the police there provided further information.
According to this, officials at the control center were informed by witnesses around 5:35 p.m. that “a human head would be lying in front of the Bonn courthouse on Wilhelmstrasse”.
Bonn police forces arrived at the district court a little later and were able to confirm the testimony.
The police officers then arrested a suspect “in the immediate vicinity”.
In the course of initial investigations, they found a "corpse in the area of the old customs" on the banks of the Rhine a little later.

According to police, the suspect is a 38-year-old man.
He was previously known to the police "particularly in the field of narcotics crime".
The identity of the victim has not yet been clarified, it said.
In addition, the police said that "both the suspect and the victim" come from the homeless scene according to initial findings.
To clarify the crime, a homicide commission of the Bonn police, in coordination with senior public prosecutor Claudia Heitmann, has started the investigation.

Police spokesman Robert Scholten confirmed to the Bonner General-Anzeiger that the suspect had been arrested in the immediate vicinity of the regional court.
