South Africa: Human fossils from almost 4 million years ago discovered

Thanks to a new research technique, the age of the most recent fossils discovered in the Sterkfontein caves, South Africa, has been corrected.

Nearly 4 million years old, they become the oldest of the Australopithecus hominids.
