The garden shed of the Maypole Friends Haar got caught up in the mill of party bickering in the building committee.

In the course of the debate it became clear that the hut is not at all about it.

Hair - Does a sacred cow justify a black building and may a small club spread exclusively over 2243 square meters and also refuse access to the toilet?

The garden shed of the Maibaumfreunde Haar, exactly 3.02 meters by 2.98 meters in size and 2.20 meters high with a roof pitch of three degrees, got caught up in the mill of party bickering in the building committee.

The holy cow is the maypole in Bavaria, and Peter Paul Gantzer (SPD), a member of the state parliament for 40 years, knows that well.

The garden shed of the Haar Maypole Friends on Gronsdorfer Strasse remains a shambles for him and the SPD parliamentary group, and subsequent approval is therefore not a gimmick.

In the course of the debate it became clear that the hut is not at all about it.

"They should have the little house," said Gantzer.

The Haarer Häusl dispute: black construction of the maypole friends subsequently approved

He and his parliamentary colleague Peter Schiessl are wondering whether a small association, which is mainly active when a new maypole is erected, i.e. every five years, should be allowed to use such a large area alone.

All clubs would have an obligation to share their facilities.

Peter Schiessl criticized that the maypole friends had put up an – approved – fence around the area and also installed video surveillance – albeit a dummy.

The SPD is concerned with equal treatment.

Whereby no one has torn around the site including the warehouse.

"It looked like the sow was terrified," recalled Mayor Andreas Bukowski (CSU).

The property has become overgrown, the hall is a ruin after water damage.

The Haar fraternity and the “D'wuidn Goassn” dirndl union waved their thanks.

Maypole friends put a lot of work, time and money into the overgrown property

Then mayor Gabriele Müller - SPD, mind you - offered the site to the maypole friends in 2019, and they took it in and "cleaned everything up", says Hans Stießberger, a kind of builder of the association.

He used to sit on the municipal council for the CSU himself.

The maypole friends - "all craftsmen", says Stießberger - put a lot of work, time and also some money into it.

It's all just for show: The cameras are only dummies, but a sign is supposed to deter any (maypole) thieves.

"Gabriele Müller did everything right," Mayor Bukowski praised his predecessor.

It's funny that his CSU has to defend the former SPD mayor against criticism from the SPD, namely from Peter Schiessl, said parliamentary group leader Dietrich Keymer amused.

In order to be able to properly appreciate the fun in the ranks of the CSU, you have to know that Gabriele Müller and Peter Schiessl are married.

Hans Stießberger believes that the property, which was previously of no interest to anyone, is now attractive because they, the Maypole friends, would have made something out of it and keep everything in good condition, including the parking lot on the site.

Every member of the association, including supporting members, could celebrate on the premises after paying a deposit - and new members are always welcome to the maypole friends.

No toilet for Park-Wildnis helpers: maypole friends forbid neighbors to use the toilet

Right next door, nature lovers are building hair at the Park-Wilderness.

Everyone can take part and create a natural experience space for all generations on an overgrown area.

This "wilderness" and the rather accurately designed and gravelled area of the Maibaumfreunde stand in a certain visual contrast.

One of the wilderness initiators is third mayor Katharina Dworzak (SPD).

But neither the possibly different ideas of designed nature nor party-political reservations played a role in the fact that helpers working in the park wilderness were not allowed to go to the toilet with the maypole friends.

Unfortunately, a corresponding request had to be turned down, says Hans Stießberger, because no maypole fanatic was constantly on the site.

Fortunately, there was now a toilet solution with the workers' welfare.

Black building in Haar: garden shed subsequently approved – “don’t forget”

The building committee then approved the garden shed, with a score of 13:5, against the votes of the SPD.

Peter Siemsen (FDP) said it shouldn't be delayed because of party-political rifts.

In the course of the Häusl debate, the head of the Greens parliamentary group, Ulrich Leiner, who is a research coordinator at the Fraunhofer Society, cautiously remarked whether it was possible that he "didn't quite penetrate the depth of the problem".

Dietrich Keymer basically recommended that clubs solve problems among themselves or agree on cooperation.

That doesn't have to happen in the municipal council and its committees.

And the SPD has managed to get the user agreement between the community and the maypole friends to be inspected.

"Full transparency" assured Mayor Bukowski.

The concluding word on the Haarer Häusl dispute belongs to Maypole friend Hans Stießberger: "Sponge over it," he told the Munich Merkur.
