At about 5:00 a.m., the authorities received reports from multiple motorists that they found a man lying unconscious at the exit of the Nanwan Tunnel towards Tsing Yi, near the slow lane of Genting-Meng.
Ambulancemen arrived at the scene and found the man unconscious, and immediately rescued him and sent him to Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung for treatment.
Police are investigating the incident, whether it involved a traffic accident or someone jumped off the bridge, and are looking for the man's identity.
It is understood that the victim was confirmed dead after being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.
