The State Council announced today (28th) the appointment and dismissal of a number of state staff.
Among them, Zhang Xiaoming, who was appointed as the deputy secretary-general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference last week, was officially removed from the position of deputy director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council.
The Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference closed in Beijing last week, when CCTV reported that Zhang Xiaoming had been appointed as the deputy secretary-general of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and was added as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Zhang Xiaoming has been working in Hong Kong and Macau since the 1980s. He served as the director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government, and in 2017, he served as the director of the Hong Kong and Macau Office.
In 2020, Xia Baolong, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, was appointed as the director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, and Zhang Xiaoming was appointed as the executive deputy director.
