He tried to smuggle them across the Allenby Bridge crossing - and was apprehended by customs officials.
After his arrest, the suspect was detained and questioned by the inspector of the Nature and Parks Authority in the Civil Administration, after which he was transferred for further treatment by the Supervision Unit and the Israel Police.
