USA: Police violence rises in demonstrations by abortion supporters
Demonstrations of pro-abortion activists have been taking place since the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse the Roe ruling against Wade, which gave abortion rights to state women.
The demonstrations are mostly peaceful but that does not stop the police from using force.

Across the United States, fears of police violence and assaults by abortion activists are mounting, following a series of incidents that took place during demonstrations against the Supreme Court decision on Friday to overturn Roe v. Wade's precedent-setting ruling on women in the country.
Since Friday, demonstrations have been held in major cities in the United States, and hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets to protest the controversial decision.
The demonstrations were mostly peaceful, except for a few cases of police violence - including an attack on the protesters, and one incident in which a car ran over protesters.

Law enforcement agencies are cracking down on protesters in several countries, including using batons and tear gas to disperse the demonstrations by force.
In New York, dozens of activists were arrested during demonstrations in Washington Square Park, Union Square and in front of the Newscorp building, where Fox News studios are located.
In Arizona, police fired tear gas at protesters from inside a government building.
The police then published a statement in which it was written that the protesters arose to infiltrate the building.
In Greville, South Carolina, six protesters were arrested after a confrontation with police that led to several injuries.
A video circulated on social media shows a police officer threatening a woman with a taser and pushing an older woman on the sidewalk.

In Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a truck ran over protesters, and one woman was hospitalized.
In Los Angeles, California, "Growing Up Girls" actress Judy Sweetin ("Stephanie") found herself surrounded by police and pushed to the ground in a demonstration by abortion supporters.
She said in a statement that "our activism will continue until our voices are heard and action taken. It will not deter us, we will continue to fight for our rights. We will not be free until everyone is free."
Journalists covering the demonstrations also found themselves under attack.
In Los Angeles, a police officer forcibly grabbed journalist Tina Desiree Berg, even though she was wearing a press badge around her neck.
Samuel Bressello, a Beverly Hills Courier reporter, was photographed being pushed by police.
The Los Angeles Police Department issued a statement in response to the Guardian's request, stating that "the Los Angeles Police Department is aware of a video of a woman being pushed. We will examine the force used in the face of police circumstances and policies. The Los Angeles Police Department will continue to allow insurance freedom while protecting life and property. "
